Hi, I’m Peter.
I create living sculptures.
I am a Chinese-Australian creator of living sculptures based in San Francisco. My creations usher the outdoors inside, re-choreographing botanicals into intentional forms: of nature, yet above nature. No two blossoms repeat, and neither do my creations; each is tailored to its own time, place, and purpose.
Born in Shenzhen, raised between there and Melbourne, I come from drifters: my mum is from Sichuan and dad Inner Mongolia. My heritage is not a fixed archive, but a snowball gathering people, stories, and cultures as I roll through the world. Global confidence pushed me outward; communal heritage tethered me inward. Each piece is a manifestation of this global Asia, rooted in inheritance, spoken in the voice of contemporary diasporic drift.
I create physical, tangible works at a time when the world accelerates toward the virtual. I aspire to embraces cutting-edge technologies — from robotics to AI — yet always returns to the body, the present, and nature. Not in resistance to technology, but in dialogue with it, I want to show that the most essential common threads are those we can gather around, stand beneath, and feel in shared space.
