Commissioned for the launch of Arion Press’s hand-printed edition of Gilgamesh—a literary and typographic masterpiece—this living sculpture transforms the epic’s central arc into an immersive experience. Guests are lured by a serpent of blooms, only to find black sand and fossil wood on the other side. Behind them, the lush view fades—like youth, or glory. A portal from hubris to humility, and the timeless ache to turn back.
